Hi there!

My name is Deids and I'm the proud owner of quack + dirk. I started my shop first when I was 18 in 2003, I used to open during the summers while I studied for my degree in Sport Science in Limerick University. I learnt to sew when I was very young from my mum and went on to do pattern drafting evening courses in NCAD.

I offically opened my shop after college in 2009. I love to travel to Paris to source new suppliers and really enjoy flea markets where I pick up vintage gems. I am environmentally concious with the brands I choose to sell, I try my best to have Fairwear and organic fabrics sourced from small suppliers. I have some beautiful local suppliers like Childvision, Morning Dew Candles, A Little Idea, Aimee & Jack to name a few. I use recycled packaging and bags where possible to stay green. I cycle to work and use my bike for local deliveries.

I pride myself in my customer service. When you email I get back in a couple of hours with honest answers about fit, fabric, style. I love getting to know you guys and feel so privildged when you choose to shop in q+d. My pal Lizzy helps me in the shop on Fridays + Saturdays, she is such a dote and shares my views on how to run a buisness. When you step into our little treasure trove you'll be greeted with a warm genuine smile and theres never any pressure to buy. We believe in buying when you need to and not out of impulse.
